Resume Overview of Experience

Before starting my private practice in 1984, I had a large range of work experiences, including being co-director of a Women's Health Center, Assistant Director for a Displaced Homemakers Program, Conflict Facilitator for a program in city schools, and a counselor for people with disabilities. I've worked with families in the public schools, preschools, and a Headstart program. I've done abortion counseling, psychiatric counseling, and job counseling, and have led assertiveness training workshops, groups for women with compulsive eating problems, and empowerment workshops for survivors of trauma.
I received 5 years of post graduate training at the Women's Therapy Centre Institute (founded by Susie Orbach) in working with eating and body image problems. I  have published a training manual entitled Working with Dissociation. I also trained in Bowenian (Murray Bowen's) Family Systems with faculty from the Center for Family Learning with an emphasis in relationship counseling.
